Peter Santner - Director, Cambridge Homes
Since starting out, Tim’s 40 years in the building industry by completing a building apprenticeship completes a real passion for building and business development.
Tim has 23 years’ experience as a franchisor within the franchising sector in New Zealand. Establishing franchise systems, as well as supporting franchisees with insight and appreciation of the different issues and perspectives faced by Franchisors and Franchisees make up my experience.
Today, as Managing Director Cambridge Homes Holdings Limited, he is fortunate to work across our franchise network.
With a passion for construction that was kindled during his childhood, Peter worked alongside his father, absorbing the essence of craftsmanship.
Educated at Hamilton Boys High and Hamilton Teachers College, Peter’s heart has remained rooted in the building trade. After exploring international construction practices through overseas travel, he returned to New Zealand to reignite his partnership with his father, leading to the establishment of Santner Construction Ltd.
In 2000, Peter and his brother Tim, co-founded Cambridge Homes, focusing on Residential Housing in alignment with burgeoning Cambridge subdivisions. Their commitment to quality and innovation set them apart, while Peter’s active role in the Waikato Master Builders Association, including his presidency from 2005 to 2007, showcased his leadership prowess.
The pinnacle of Peter’s journey arrived in 2016 when he and Tim embarked on franchising Cambridge Homes, resulting in seven thriving franchise operations across the North Island.
The Santner’s legacy echoes through New Zealand’s architectural landscape as a testament to their passion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to turning dreams into reality.
